New Year, New Look
New for 2019, we’re now up and running with our website redesign - it’s a total overhaul of our previous site to mark the journey towards our fourth festival later this year.
Our festival director Sam Cullis had this to say about the progress of Barnes Film Festival:
“We’re really excited about our brand-new website, as the festival has evolved the website needed to grow with it.
The website will be much easier to navigate and see upcoming events. Its also going to be much simpler to book tickets. We think it reflects our vision, why don’t you take a look?”
We’re building on the success of our 2018 festival with a device-friendly site.
You’ll find it very easy to navigate around so you can find out about our latest events.
It’s all part of our mission to inspire filmmakers of all backgrounds to get creative.
In 2018, over the course of three days from September into October, we celebrated all manner of engaging content for all ages.
We held our competition results, hosted talks about the future of film, and encouraged families to get stuck in with our various kid-friendly workshops.
And you can find out more on the festivals vision on our about page.
And as part of this we’ll be holding all manner of events across the year in the build-up to our main event in September.
Which, of course, you can already start prepping for!
Youth Filmmaking Competition 2019
Don’t forget, our youth filmmaking competition is already open for entrants.
You can get started for the 2019 event right away, with final entry dates set for June.
There are three seperate age ranges to keep in mind:
Entrants have to pay a small fee, but there’ll be some great prizes available for winners, such as educational software and filmmaking equipment.
But we’ll determine those closer to the event later in the year for you.
Don’t forget, we also have sustainability guidelines - we promote an environmentally friendly future for filmmaking, so take a look at how you can make simply steps to be green.
In the meantime, please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about this competition or our festival!
