Post Production is a huge umbrella term for the process that begins once you’ve captured all of your footage. Whether it’s a low budget horror film, a makeup tutorial for YouTube, a landmark David Attenborough series, or that Cadbury’s gorilla advert, you can bet that some degree of post production has happened to create the end product that you see.
Post covers the ingest, editing, colour grading, online edit and sound work, as well as mastering of final files/deliverables and all of the QC processes that make sure your carefully crafted work is fit for release.
Post is often the last stretch of a long and sometimes emotional process fro filmmakers and directors, which is why it can be so incredibly rewarding to be involved in. Delivering that end product is a wonderful (and addictive!) feeling for those involved.
